Biosketch

Since July 2020, I am a Professor of Computer Science with the Institut Mines-Telecom (Lille, France). I am also a member of the Centre de Recherche en Informatique, Signal et Automatique de Lille (CRIStAL - UMR CNRS 9189). From 2010 to June 2020, I was an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Lille, France. I obtained the Accreditation to Supervise Research in France (Habilitation à diriger des recherches HDR) from University of Lille, France in 2018. I received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Orléans, France in 2008. My current research interests are mainly focused on computer vision, machine learning, HCI and Virtual Reality. I serve as a regular reviewer for a number of top journals in the field (IEEE Trans. on PAMI, IEEE Trans. on Image Processing, IEEE Trans. on Medical Imaging, IEEE Trans. on Multimedia). I co-organized and was the general Chair of the International Workshop on Understanding Human Activities through 3D Sensors: UHA3DS 2015 in connection with the IEEE FG 2015 and UHA3DS 2016 hosted by ICPR 2016. I served as a PC member for a number of international conferences and workshops and also as Area Chair for the IAPR ICPR 2014 conference. I am co-author of several papers in refereed journals and proceedings of international conferences.
